DIY- Dry Erase Board

One of the easiest DY’s ever, provided you aren’t a perfectionist like me who has to make 15 drafts before the final product!

WHAT YOU NEED:

-picture frame (glass, not plastic)
-paper or fabric as a backing (I used gift wrap)
- permanent and dry erase markers
-scissors
First I bought this frame, because I had none at home that would work.

Open it up and use the insert as a measuring tool to cut the paper, conveniently my gift wrap even had a grid on it to make cutting everything straight a piece of cake!
You can either just put that straight in there and its ready to use, but I decided to do a bit of decorating. Using the permanent markers I split it up into month/week/day and phonebook. I chose wrapping paper with silver and white lines because that makes it easy to keep everything straight, neat and organized. (All things I get a great deal of satisfaction from.) The lines made it easy to break it up evenly. You can choose any pattern of paper you like, just keep in mind that you do still need to be able to read whats written on there, so bright and bold patterns can make that more difficult.
If you do choose to decorate it, keep in mind also that the frame will cover the edges a bit, so make sure you start far enough from the edge that nothing gets cut off.
Once your satisfied with the background just put it in the frame and you’re good to go!
PRO-TIP- make sure it isn’t upside-down!

et, voila!

I made this for my grandmother’s birthday so what you see in Pink is the dry erase marker on the glass, and the purple and green are underneath on the paper!
you can use any picture frame, some of the multi-frame ones would look especially awesome!
Maybe next time I’ll use this one!
